The hotel engineering supervisor manages daily maintenance operations, oversees repair teams, and ensures all building, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently. They coordinate preventative maintenance programs, handle guest service requests, and enforce safety and brand compliance standards.

Compensation:

$20 - $20.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Assign daily work orders, schedule staff shifts, and train maintenance technicians.

• Facility Maintenance: Oversee repairs for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment.

• Preventative Programs: Run routine checks on life safety systems, emergency generators, and pool equipment. You can review standard protocols via Marriott Careers.

• Inspections: Audit guest rooms, public zones, and back-of-house facilities to catch defects early.

• Vendor Coordination: Supervise third-party contractors and manage spare parts inventory.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on facility maintenance or lead technician work, ideally within hospitality.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and life-safety systems.

• Skills: Good problem-solving abilities, basic computer proficiency for work-order tracking, and clear communication skills.

• Physical Needs: Ability to lift heavy gear, climb ladders, and work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
