Assistant Facility Manager

Assist the Facility Management Team with tactical planning for team goals and objectives Provide facility-specific assistance and manage assigned facility management tasks Coordinate special events and maintenance activities Provide overall facility management services, including continuous office/facility monitoring Interface with clients, visitors, and guests and ensure customer follow-up Assist with budget requests, analysis, reporting, and variance research Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and risk management policies and procedures Conduct property inspections and daily walkthroughs, including janitorial and landscape requirements Respond to work orders promptly and ensure KPI compliance and customer service Coordinate vendors, facilities staff, and service providers with minimal disruption Conduct quality assurance site visits with janitorial vendors Support teamwork, cooperation, performance excellence, and client relationships Use CMMS daily for overall work-order management Work occasional overtime and/or be on call as needed Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent 2+ years of experience in facility management, property management, or building operations Ability to learn and use a smartphone to retrieve work orders and email Excellent internal and external customer service skills Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders Valid driver's license Ability to travel between multiple properties up to 30% Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred: proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to work occasional overtime and/or be on call Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in facility management, including building systems knowledge and compliance with health and safety regulations.
