Assistant Manager

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, lead team members, and maintain a positive and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations.
• Lead, coach, and support team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Help recruit, onboard, train, and develop restaurant staff.
• Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and health regulations.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and payroll-related tasks.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food, beverages, and supplies.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures and ensure operational readiness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in a full-service restaurant environment preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
