This position is 3rd shift - 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday night through Friday morning. Base pay rate does not include $1.50 shift differential for all hours worked.

Essential Functions

• Loads and operates assigned machine, moving parts to required stops and cycling equipment. This includes punch presses, brake presses, CNC equipment, shears, and other related equipment.
• Unloads parts from machines and stacks or moves parts directly to a secondary operation or staging area.
• Checks conformance of parts to blueprint specifications.
• Performs daily maintenance on assigned machine, including checking lubrication levels, etc.
• Miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of machine controls and ability to operate machine following all safety instructions.
• Ability to read blueprints and use tape measure, square, micrometer, slide caliper, and angle gauge.
• Ability to distinguish types and gauges of steel and determine if material meets quality standards.
• Ability to lift parts as required, up to 50 lbs occasionally and lighter amounts frequently, and the ability to use material handling equipment including sheet lifter, floor jacks, and hydraulic lifting equipment.
• Ability to stand for required periods of time.
• Basic mathematical skills.
