What We Offer Competitive pay Paid vacation/holidays/sick time – 10 days of vacation in the first year Comprehensive benefits package including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care available day one Extensive product and on‑the‑job/cross‑training opportunities with outstanding internal resources Encouraging and collaborative team environment Dedication to safety through our Zero Harm policy Company vehicle, tools, and equipment provided to complete all jobs JCI Employee discount programs (The Loop by Perk Spot) What You Will Do Assist the responsible person in performing required duties for the completion of installation-related tasks for electronic product lines and standard electronic systems Observe the actions of the responsible person(s) and apply tasks as directed Help with installation of electronic systems, including start‑up through final testing Follow verbal and written instruction, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds; perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet or more Maintain a clean and safe work area; pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with SimplexGrinnell work Wear appropriate safety equipment as required, including hard hats and work boots Be available to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements Perform other duties as requested Submit required paperwork daily How You Will Do It Follow verbal and written instruction, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities. Perform daily submission of required paperwork. Required Qualifications Knowledge of fire alarm and/or security system experience High school diploma or GED Construction experience required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Successful completion of drug screen and background check Capacity to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet; working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings Demonstrated high level of customer service Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly Preferred Qualifications Experience in an electrical trade preferred Low voltage experience a plus Salary Information Hourly range: $18.00 – $23.82. Salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market data.
