As a Medical Assistant, you will perform expanded and advanced level medical assistant duties including but not limited to identifying and resolving concerns regarding patient satisfaction, patient flow, and compliance with procedures and guidelines. Typically provides direct clinical support to one or more clinicians and may support more than one department. Position Details: Location: Norwood, MA Schedule: Part-time, 32 hours: Flexible hours required, schedule includes weekdays and weekends Specialty: Urgent Care Primary Responsibilities: Manages patient flow, access and scheduling for clinicians to optimize patient appointment availability and serves in a dedicated capacity to one or more clinicians Manages clinicians' daily schedule to expedite care and maximize clinical time. Determines urgency and priority of walk-ins, add-on patients and patient consults Coordinates the practice when clinicians are unavailable. Ensures calls are responded to properly and clinicians receive necessary information Sorts, manages and reviews clinician mail (may be paper or electronic). Maintains and screens MyHealth messages. Addresses incoming questions when appropriate Monitors practice issues and problems. Identifies and resolves concerns regarding patient satisfaction, patient flow, and compliance with procedures and guidelines. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 6+ months of experience working in a clinical setting Preferred Qualifications: Medical Assistant Certification American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant Experience working with EPIC EMR software Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
