Human Resources Manager

We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support our West Springfield, MA facility who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading people, improving processes, and supporting a positive workplace culture. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience, plus full benefits. Work Schedule Full‑time, onsite role based in West Springfield, MA . Monday – Friday | 7 AM – 4 PM with occasional travel (up to 10%) to corporate facility. Benefits A strategic, boots on the ground, hands‑on HR leadership role Opportunity to influence culture and support organizational growth Collaborative environment with strong leadership support Competitive pay, benefits, and professional development opportunities Responsibilities Talent Acquisition: Lead full‑cycle recruiting, staffing, and onboarding for the location Employee Relations: Manage performance, policy administration, coaching, and workplace investigations Leave & Claim Management: Oversee PFML, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and related compliance Retention & Culture: Conduct exit interviews and support initiatives that strengthen engagement Leadership Support: Provide coaching, guidance, and HR partnership to managers and employees Compliance & Policy: Ensure consistent application of policies and employment laws HRIS & Payroll Operations: Manage HRIS/timekeeping accuracy, approve timecards, support payroll, and complete monthly HR reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR or related field 5–7 years of progressive HR generalist experience (manufacturing preferred) Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision‑making skills Knowledge of employment law, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to manage multiple priorities Placon employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test, basic physical, background check, educational verification, and reference checks (as applicable).
