Mech and Robotics Tech

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Perform preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes and relays. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Track and store department inventory. Collaborate with the Operations facility team and foster positive working relationships. Perform manual tasks including lifting up to 49 lbs, standing, walking and working shifts lasting up to 12 hours. Travel up to 20% of the time if required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and holidays. 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 1+ year of experience reading blueprints or electrical schematics. 1+ year of experience with electrical and electronic principles. Knowledge of MHE safety standards and OEM guidance. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical dexterity, including eye/hand coordination and wrist motion. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing and walking. Lifting parts and tools weighing an average of 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs. Work in small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, and noise/vibration. Stand or walk on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts. Pushing or pulling wheeled equipment up to 100+ lbs. Maneuver wet or uneven surfaces and cramped positions under or behind machinery. Compensation & Benefits Estimated compensation: $61,547.00 – $61,547.20 USD per year.
