Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive critical care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will utilize their clinical expertise to deliver high-quality patient care and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Collect and interpret diagnostic and lab data, reporting critical findings promptly to physicians.
• Document assessment results and identify abnormal findings during physical examinations.
• Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are prioritized and communicated.
• Perform nursing interventions according to patient needs and adhere to hospital policies.
• Evaluate patient outcomes relative to established goals and modify care plans as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Hold a valid New York State nursing license.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Have recent emergency department and critical care experience.
• Maintain current TNCC and Moderate Sedation certifications.
• Able to work every other weekend (EOW).
