Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry unit. This position involves providing care for adult patients with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge base in critical care, particularly with cardiovascular diagnoses.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night 3x12 (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, subject to change based on staffing needs.
• Float to other units or facilities may be required based on departmental needs.

Patient Population

The patient population includes adults with a variety of severe cardiovascular conditions, such as:

• Sepsis
• Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Unstable Angina
• Coronary Artery Disease
• Cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy
• Vasoactive infusions
• Anticoagulation therapy

Special Procedures and Unit Details

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Administration of vasoactive medications
• Management of antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Execution of thrombolytic therapy
• Defibrillation and cardioversion
• Thoracentesis
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation
• Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Certificates required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health records
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting is preferred; first-time travelers will be considered based on their overall experience.
