Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Opportunity Location: Miami, FL Schedule: Full-time, school-based Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: Starting at $35/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Miami, Florida . This is an excellent opportunity for an SLPA who is passionate about helping students develop communication skills and achieve greater academic and social success. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist while collaborating with educators, families, and other related service providers. Key Responsibilities Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP. Support students with articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, social communication, and other communication needs. Collect and document therapy data to monitor student progress. Prepare therapy materials and support individualized intervention activities. Reinforce speech and language goals within the school environment. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school-based activities as appropriate. Maintain accurate treatment documentation and service records. Follow all applicable school, state, and federal requirements. Qualifications Active Florida SLPA license required. Previous school-based or pediatric experience required. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Passion for helping students improve their communication and educational outcomes. Work Environment School-based setting in Miami, Florida. Students with a variety of communication disorders and educational needs. Collaborative team environment with SLPs, educators, administrators, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers.
