Registered Nurse (RN) - Psych/Behavioral Health

The position involves working as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psych/Behavioral Health. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Position Details

• Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend or as needed.
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license to practice nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) must be completed within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with chemical dependency and dual diagnoses.
• A proven track record in patient assessments and treatment planning.
• Strong communication skills, particularly with families and external review organizations.
