Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced Internal Medicine department. $5,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates! LVT Pay: $26.75 - $51.32 per hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential Are you committed and passionate about enriching lives through remarkable care for pets? As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you serve as a liaison between our internists and clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in‑person conversations. Additionally, you will assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking X‑rays, and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills are required. Set up constant rate infusions (CRI). Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.). Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia. Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures. Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedures. Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations. Additional job duties as assigned. Why BluePearl?
