An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact in a middle school environment. This contract role begins immediately and extends through the 2026–2027 school year, with a set end date of May 27, 2027. The position offers a full-time schedule in a collaborative and supportive educational community.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement
• Experience working with middle school students in resource and co-taught classroom settings preferred
• Expertise supporting students with IEPs and providing individualized academic and behavioral interventions
• Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate and document special education programs and services in compliance with all regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in both resource and co-taught classrooms
• Implement and monitor accommodations, modifications, and instructional supports as outlined in student IEPs
• Work collaboratively with general education staff to design and provide effective instruction and interventions
• Track student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and supports
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and revision of plans to optimize student achievement
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages academic growth and engagement for all students
