Crew Boat Captain
Muddy Water Dredging Solutions
Description • Responsible for the safe keeping of the vessel assigned. • Responsible to record and report any maintenance issues to your supervisor • Responsible for all housekeeping of the vessel • Work a 12-hour shift, 20/10 rotating schedule from the required field location • Must be able to step from the vessel to the dock • Must be able to pull handle lines for docking and disembarking • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb to perform maintenance, minor repairs, and cleaning. • Performs other related duties as assigned • Participates in Safety and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs. Requirements • At a minimum - USCG - Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels Captain's License; Inland • Preferred - USCG - Master, 50 Gross Tons, Inland • Must have a valid TWIC Card • Minimum of three (3) years related experience • Ability to comply with safety rules and regulations. • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little to no supervision. • Must be reliable and motivated. • Knowledge of operation of various types of marine equipment, tools, and devices. • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors. • Competencies: stress management/composure, teamwork, results driven
