As a Dietary Aide, you will be a central figure in our nutrition services team, responsible for preparing and delivering meals and snacks that meet specific dietary needs and preferences. You will play a vital role in enhancing patient comfort, well-being, and overall experience through nutritious food service. Every day, you will meticulously assemble and deliver meal trays, assist with mealtime services, ensuring a positive and hygienic dining experience. You will also maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas, operate dishwashing equipment, and adhere strictly to food safety regulations, all while providing compassionate and attentive service. To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong commitment to food safety, meticulous attention to detail in meal preparation, and a compassionate, service-oriented approach. You will demonstrate reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to follow precise instructions, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting nutritional health and patient satisfaction.
- Assisting with the preparing and serving of meals to Care Center Residents, Hospital and ARC
- Know basics of therapeutic diets to ensure proper following of nutrition care plan for resident and patients
- Washing dishes with dish machine, using meat slicer, coffee machine, handling dishes, hot and cold food
- Abide to the Minnesota Department of Health safety standards and LakeWood's Policies
- Stocking food items, documentation of food records, grocery items and temperatures
- Other duties as assigned
Required
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Be able to perform simple math skills and have basic communication
