Overview As a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking group, you’ll provide clients with objective advice on all aspects of M&A and capital markets alternatives through highly focused industry teams with world‑class, global execution capabilities. You will lead the MedTech sector coverage as part of a broad healthcare and life sciences coverage group, initiating and executing high‑profile transactions for clients. Key Responsibilities Initiate and lead investment banking engagements within the MedTech sector. Originate and execute buy‑side and sell‑side M&A transactions as well as capital markets transactions for private and public middle‑market enterprises and relevant private equity sponsors. Communicate EY’s unique investment banking capabilities to clients’ senior executives. Lead and develop a team of mid‑level and junior members, ensuring their career development. Prepare compelling pitch materials, offering memoranda, and related materials for M&A and capital‑raising mandates. Conduct extensive financial analysis, valuation, and pro forma modeling. Identify key issues and potential areas of valuation and transaction risk. Perform in‑depth sector market and company‑specific coverage. Contribute to recruiting and team development initiatives. Skills and Attributes for Success Experience advising companies on M&A, strategic, and corporate finance transactions. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, managing senior and junior team members. Ability to develop relationships with investors and strategic participants for M&A and capital raising. Proven expertise in financial analysis, valuation, and modeling. Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills across all organizational levels. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of directly related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience. Extensive investment banking experience, particularly originating and executing M&A transactions. Existing Series 7 and/or 79 plus Series 63 securities licenses in good standing. Ability to work directly with clients as the most senior banking team representative and manage all client deliverables. Strong experience leading transaction origination and execution. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of leveraging AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
