Forklift Operator 1

Roles & Responsibilities

Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site
Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks
Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes)
Cross-train and become knowledgeable in other areas; provide backup support when required

Experience Required

0 to 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum 6 months of forklift driving experience required
1 year of relevant experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED
Intermediate experience with high reach or counterbalance equipment required
Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred

Skills & Certifications

Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner
Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
General distribution knowledge
Basic computer skills
Strong initiative and drive for results

Eligibilities & qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Must pass 10-panel drug screening
Steel toe or composite-toe shoes required
Must pass eye exam (20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses, and/or color vision exam)
Background check and drug screening must clear before starting
Normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye; hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE
