The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the care and maintenance of golf course.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Golf course maintenance experience preferred, but not requiredMust possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf courseWorking knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance workMust possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operationsAbility to give oral and written instructionsSkilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovationMust be dependableResponsibilities:Operates motorized vehiclesMaintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facilityMows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areasWaters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional waterRepairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as neededGrades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairwaysTrims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower bedsApplies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf coursePerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerEqual Opportunity Employer.
