Experienced Veterinary Assistant

VCA All Animal Hospital of Orange Park is seeking an experienced veterinary assistant to join our general practice team full time!

Veterinary Assistant Duties

• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Collecting patient histories and assisting with physical exams
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Laboratory sample collection and processing
• IV, IM, and subcutaneous medication administration
• Client education and counseling
• Working collaboratively with veterinarians and all hospital departments
• Providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to all patients

Schedule: Full time

MondayFriday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM Flexible scheduling available

Compensation $17.00 $26.00 per hour, based on skill set, experience, and licensure status

• Veterinary Assistant (VA): $17 $20/hr
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT): $20 $26/hr
