Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Gastroenterology with specialized expertise in Pancreatology

Position Highlights

• The successful candidate will provide specialized evaluation and management of patients with pancreatic disorders and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• This role will also contribute to the education and mentorship of fellows, residents, and other learners while supporting ongoing program development and clinical innovation.
• This is an excellent opportunity for a gastroenterologist with a focused interest in pancreatic diseases and disorders to play a key role in expanding specialized services, improving patient access, and advancing education and multidisciplinary care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across gastroenterology, surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, and other relevant specialties
• Participate in the development and enhancement of clinical programs related to pancreatic disease
• Contribute to medical education, trainee teaching, and mentorship
• Opportunities for clinical research, quality improvement, and academic pursuits

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
• Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and interest in Pancreatology
• Experience managing complex pancreatic disorders preferred
• Strong commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration, education, and mentorship
• Eligible for or able to obtain an Illinois medical license
