We are making history in Kansas City and desire like-minded, high energy, driven individuals to join us on our journey.Who Are We Hiring?We are seeking a smart, dynamic, and creative Vice President, Corporate Partnerships to help the secure new and renew current marketing partnerships that serve as a critical revenue stream for the organization. The Vice President will be expected to create and expand corporate relationships at the C-suite and boardroom level and exhibit the solutions-based approach and high-touch professionalism and demeanor that properly reflect the culture of the organization. The Vice President, Corporate Partnerships will report to the Senior Vice President, Commercial, and will be responsible for leading all aspects of the department, including, but not limited to nurturing and retaining existing partner relationships, and creating and executing strategies to acquire and develop new partners as part of the org-wide business objectives. The successful candidate will be an experienced manager and sales leader, while infusing energy and creativity into the sales and marketing organization to develop teams who are equally committed to delivering results. The Vice President will also be challenged to collaborate with various departments to build assets and programs that boost our partners and fans as central figures in all that we do.What Will You Do?The Vice President, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for creating long term, meaningful, and customized corporate partnerships with leading regional, national, and international brands.Partnership SalesLead a team focused on B2B relationships and optimizing net partnership revenueDrive new revenue opportunities nationally and locally to hit and surpass annual revenue goalsBring clarity and insight to a prospective partner's financial and promotional objectives by leveraging relevant analytics and metrics and utilizing these to demonstrate tangible ROI.Partnership ActivationLead all aspects of corporate partnership activation across partnership portfolioManage relationships with key partners when necessary, serving as an executive point of contact for top-tier accountsDeliver best-in-class account management, service, and support for all corporate partners and ensure 100% fulfillment of all contractual obligations.Assist in developing an engagement platform to retain existing relationships and generate new businessConvey a sophisticated understanding of analytics that express and enhance ROI to partnersContribute to event planning and execution of partner-sponsored events.Department LeadershipInfluence, develop and implement strategic goals, commission structures and other incentive programs that motivate staff to achieve revenue objectivesAssist in developing asset guidelines and standards that help support our objectivesWork in conjunction with Business Strategy & Analytics, Marketing, and all critical departments to develop compelling presentations that include measurable elementsCoordinate with internal legal team to assure contract execution and with internal finance team to manage all accounts payables and receivablesDevelop staff by providing mentoring, direction, support, continual coaching, and performance feedback.Gameday responsibilities include activation, client entertainment, and contract fulfillmentConduct business during non-traditional hours, interact with clients and prospects during eventsWhat Do You Need To Succeed? Required Skills/AbilitiesProven track record of driving new and retaining existing revenue in the corporate partnerships spaceThorough knowledge of the sports industry and market conditionsComfortable working with and presenting to senior executivesEffective verbal, written and presentation skillsCustomer-focused, team player – ability to lead sales and activation staffExcellent business research and problem-solving skillsStrong prospecting and leadership skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to multitaskAbility to meet challenging sales objectives in a high profile, competitive marketplaceDemonstrated ability to develop strategic activation programsTrack record of providing exceptional customer serviceEducation And Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or related fieldMinimum of 7 years of demonstrated sales leadership experience in corporate partnershipsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesSpecial Requirements Of The Job:Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts), and holidaysAbility to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executivesTravel may be requiredThe Kansas City Current values diversity and is looking for extraordinary employees of all backgrounds!
