Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting with mixed and shared acuity levels at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placement as mandatory competencies required for all RNs in this role
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and administer emergency medications including IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and continuous IV paralytics
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, including CVA patients, and administer procedural sedation
• Perform central line care and management and administer blood products
• Float to other units when census warrants and maintain strict isolation precautions as required

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and IV insertion
• Experience with Epic EMR (hard requirement)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department environment
• Familiarity with procedural sedation administration and management of CVA patients
