• Ability to apply detailed technical knowledge of work operations and apply same in leading mechanics concerning methods for jobs to be accomplished.
• Ability to communicate changes to workers under his/her leadership.
• Ability to utilize the various components and systems associated with naval submarines and surface ships.
• Ability to lead journeyman mechanics through instruction and demonstration of proper work methods.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of machinist systems and equipment, understand operational theory, check-out procedures, and have the knowledge and skill to perform machinist work. Additionally, be able to effectively articulate technical knowledge and skill to coworkers working on these components/systems.
