Why This Role Matters

As a Pharmacy Quality Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs by engaging members, verifying medication information, and helping improve health outcomes. Your efforts will directly contribute to quality initiatives and medication compliance programs that support member well-being.

What You'll Do

Verify member demographic information, provider details, and pharmacy contact information and accurately document updates in the MTM platform Obtain, verify, and document current medication lists within the designated MTM system Contact members to explain MTM program benefits, complete HIPAA verification, and schedule appointments with MTM Pharmacists Receive and respond to calls from members, provider offices, and pharmacies, determining appropriate next steps and escalating when necessary Coordinate outbound fax communications and follow-up activities with healthcare providers Assess member needs and triage inquiries to clinical pharmacists or other departments as appropriate Support Medicare Star Ratings and other pharmacy quality initiatives Maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced, high-volume call environment averaging approximately 120 calls per day

What We're Looking For

A current, up-to-date resume High school diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, customer service, or related environment Strong telephonic customer service experience Ability to manage high-volume outbound and inbound call activity efficiently Excellent communication and documentation skills Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license PTCB certification Retail pharmacy experience preferred Medicare and MTM experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers Ability to meet compliance requirements
