Medical Assistant - Poughkeepsie

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support healthcare professionals and ensure the smooth operation of the clinical area.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Take and record vital signs.
  • Perform in-house laboratory tests and collect specimens for external labs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical area, ensuring all supplies are up-to-date and disposed of when expired.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment, logging each service performed.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones and handling inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Communicate any problems or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Ensure all necessary logs are accurately maintained.

 

Requirements
  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Preferred Education: Vocational/Technical School or Diploma in Medical Technology.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in Urgent Care or Primary Care/Internal Medicine.
