We protect more than 7,600 acres of forests and other habitats. Location CORBIN SERVICE CENTER Responsibilities Works under the direct supervision of an assigned Construction Supervisor. Safely performs general hands-on physical construction tasks related to the installation of natural gas facilities including plastic and steel natural gas mains, service lines, taps, compression facilities, production wells, leak repairs and other construction and maintenance operations. Safely and efficiently performs general construction operations with various power-operated equipment including trenching machines, boring machines, tampers, etc. Safely and efficiently performs general construction functions with various types of hand tools and small power tools. Safely operates medium and heavy-duty trucks, and pulls trailers with moderate to heavy loads to move equipment and materials as required. Performs routine maintenance and repair of assigned vehicles, trailers, tools and power-operated equipment as necessary. Assists with inventory supply within the assigned crew, maintains accurate inventory control and timely submission of necessary paperwork. Assists with maintaining accurate records and timely reporting for assigned Company commercial motor vehicles as required by DOT and Company policies (daily inspection reports, monthly vehicle maintenance reports). Performs plastic fusion and other natural gas construction-related duties in compliance with Company specifications, procedures and Operator Qualification certifications. Performs any other duties assigned by authorized personnel. Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding construction tasks and operate related equipment in a safe and compliant manner. Experience with general construction, use of hand tools and small power tools, and operating medium to heavy-duty trucks or trailers is preferred. Knowledge of DOT and Company policies for vehicle records and reporting is desirable. Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in field operations.
