Diesel Tractor Technician / Mechanic

Company Overview Monday - Friday work weeks for all shifts Company-provided uniforms, including laundry Quick advancement Quality hours Professional, positive and people-centered work environment Modern, organized facility Safety oriented atmosphere Specialty tools provided Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days 401(k) plan, discretionary company match Responsibilities Understand troubleshooting diesel engine systems with ECM diagnostic programs and other troubleshooting techniques Diagnose, repair, and replace external engine components Test and repair entire truck chassis electrical systems Develop skills to become proficient in the repair of all major power and drive train components Effectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and services, per company policy and time standards Repair, adjust, and align suspension systems and brake systems Maintain the tire maintenance program Perform service calls, per company guidelines Wash and fuel equipment when necessary Perform vehicle road tests to ensure quality repair service, if qualified Perform other maintenance duties or assignments, as necessary Maintain positive attitude, interact courteously and professionally with fellow employees Serve as a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, grounds, and all equipment and tools Maintain a clean and safe environment that complies with OSHA and company standards Record all work and labor on the EMS system Work with Parts Department to ensure all necessary materials, parts, service supplies, and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels Comply with all Parts Department procedures and rules at all times Continuously improve processes Qualifications Possess a valid driver’s license Basic math skills Fluent in English Legally eligible to work in the United States Must be at least 18 years of age Pass a drug screen Benefits Stable and growing organization Competitive weekly pay Overtime after 40 hours Open door policy Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc. Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days 401(k) plan, company match Physical Demands This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a service center and shop environment.
