The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.Example of DutiesUnder general supervision, participate as a member of the Office Support Team by checking for and suggesting proper formatting, grammar, spelling and content of all documents presented to the Team for processing; creating and explaining to others the correct use of templates, MS Word track changes and letters and mailing functions, MS Outlook calendar sharing and task functions, and electronic and hard copy filing and archiving. Greet public, answer telephones and make referrals. Assist with data entry of bid tabs, utility database, and weight tickets. Prepare and mail out distributions and Insulated Streets Updates. Prepare Assembly documents and enter into OnBase system. Act for other office administrative staff when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / PreferencesHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience in office clerical work. OR Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar discipline and experience in office clerical work.
