Job Description & Requirements Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Palo Alto, California. Those that want flexibility and high pay, we have the positions for you! Unit Overview J2 unit = Cardiac/Thorasic Surgery ICU. It takes the sickest patients, many devices: CRT, Balloon Pumps, ECMO, etc. 24 bed CTICU. Patient population: complex CT surgery patients, heart and lung transplants, combinations of heart/kidney or heart/liver. Stanford is ECMO Center of Excellence – Gold (second placed). Heavy on device: CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, RVAD, ECMO. These are cared by regular staff nurses trained at SHC. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years ICU experience (preferably CVICU) in similar or like unit. Experience with the following equipment: CCO, pacemaker. Experience with lines and tubes/drains: PA catheter, chest tubes, pigtail catheters, lumbar drains. Knowledge of inotropic agents/vasoactive drugs. EPIC proficiency.
