Dish Machine Operator

Summary:At Black Bear Diners, we have been serving Good Old Fashioned Family Food since 1995. We are a fun, family-friendly concept known for our great homemade food, large portions and genuine, friendly service.The overall responsibility of a Dish Machine Operator is you’ll own the dishwashing process to make sure that all utensils and service ware are cleaned, sanitized and stocked for all other crew members, which results in dinner running smoothly and our guests returning.Qualities of a Great Prep Cook:PatienceGood Sense of HumorEnthusiasticAbility to remain calm under pressureAbility to multi-taskKnowledge / Technical Expertise:Familiar with and practice all company standards related to position.Load, run and unload dish machine.Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical usage to ensure sanitary wash cycle.Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.Keep dishroom clean and organized.Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.Assist other employees as needed in cleaning and organizing.Bag and haul dishroom trash to dumpster at designed times.Complete sidework for station and shift.Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-dutyOther Duties as assignedAppearance / Uniform:Complies with all company standards related to appearance and uniform standards.WORK Conditions:Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business.Postural & Physical Demand Requirements:Frequent reaching above waist, chest and shoulder level as well as and reaching below waist level.Frequent to continuous need for manual dexterity of both hands (pushing, pulling, handling, gripping, fine finger controls, etc.).Continuous standing on hard surfaces for many tasks.Frequent hip flexion while walking for all tasks.Frequent exposure to cold/ below freezing and high heat temperatures (walk-in refrigerator, freezers, and ovens)Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.Bending, squatting, stooping for cleaning activities throughout the shift.Climbing on step stools for cleaning projects as needed.______________________________________________________________________________________The information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.Management may, at its discretion, assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.The duties and responsibilities in this job description may be subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Pay for Dish Machine Operator is $16 to $18.50 #J-18808-Ljbffr Hunter Super Techs - TurnPoint
