Field Service Technician - Transformer Oil Processing

Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Remote + Travel (Around 80%)
Hourly Rate: $30 - $60/hour DOE

Founded in 2003, we provide electrical testing, transformer services, and power system life extension solutions across North America. Our Transformer Services group supports the full transformer lifecycle through testing, maintenance, repair, oil processing, commissioning, and reliability upgrades for mission-critical power systems. We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support field operations and customer orders through hands-on testing, inspection, troubleshooting, operation, and repair of high-voltage electrical equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform electrical and fluid testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, rebuilds, and retrofits on transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers at customer sites and in shop environments
• Complete quality control and documentation, including final test reports, equipment labeling verification, and required job photos in accordance with company and customer standards
• Support field operations and customer projects by communicating job status to management and assisting with site inspections, scope development, and coordination with Sales and Project Management
• Work safely and efficiently by following all company and OSHA safety procedures, maintaining a clean work area, traveling as required, and collaborating with team members to improve turnaround time and service quality

What You Need for This Position

• High school degree or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician working with transformers
• Hands-on experience with low and high-voltage electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and breakers, with strong mechanical skills for inspection, testing, and repair
• Knowledge of industrial codes and standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA, and OSHAA) 
• CDL license is a plus
