As a PH Dental Receptionist within the Dawson, Forsyth & Lumpkin County Dental Clinics within the Health Departments within the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a clerical or administrative supervisor.

• Manages the appointment schedule at the direction of the Dentist
• Verifying Insurance
• Updating patient information
• Enter treatments into VHN system
• Greet patients and answer questions regarding the Dental Program
• Coordinate Head Start clinics with Family Partner
• Coordinate dental appointments and referrals for the Ryan White Program
• Create new patient records
• Prepares and forwards monthly statistical reports

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED AND Two years of general office or administrative experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year experience as receptionist or front office in a Dental or Medical Office setting
• Experience working with computers
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
