The Role
As a Math Content Coach (Math Teacher) , you will serve as the primary instructional resource for our Graduation Candidates (GCs), delivering competency-based content, supporting personalized learning, and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. You'll work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner's journey.
Key Responsibilities Enrollment
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
Licensure: Texas 6-12 secondary certification in Mathematics (REQUIRED)
Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)
Skills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills
Passion: A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities Enrollment
- Support new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts
- Assist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs
- Serve as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team
- Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement
- Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings
- Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments
- Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate success
- Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events
- Collaborate with the GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways, transition strategies, and incentive plans
- Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy's mission

- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models
- Experience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based education
- Strong comfort with educational technology tools and platforms
