Schedule/Availability Full‑Time Weekdays + Weekends 5 a - 1:30 p Part‑Time Weekdays + Weekends 2 p - 8 p 10:30 a - 7 p PRN Weekdays & Weekends 7 a to 3 p 10:30 a to 8:30 p What you’ll do: Prepare food items, preparation equipment, small wares, plate ware, food ingredients, garnishes and supply items needed for effective operations Maintain the highest degree of sanitation, cleanliness and food safety for the work area Follow menus provided, making changes only with the consent of the culinary leadership Plan cooking schedule so that the finished product reaches the consumer at peak quality Work directly with residents, team members, and guests to ensure expectations are being met or exceeded Fulfill catering orders for events on campus Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as‑needed basis by an authorized supervisor What you’ll need: 2 years of experience in food service operations Knowledge of proper methods and cooking temperatures for best utilization in yield of meats and other foods Ability to time the cooking of vegetables so that their nutritional quality, flavor, and appearance are preserved Ability to accurately estimate quantities of food needed and yields from bulk foods Knowledge of and an appreciation for principles and requirements of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment Experience preparing and serving meals in an appealing and appetizing manner Compensation: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
