Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift 2256

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic on our 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Performing routine maintenance around the building, fixing structural damage, for example, windows, doors or wall repair, which would include dock doors Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures. Maintaining the building HVAC thermostats to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly. Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Painting as required. Assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies and forklifts Operates a boom/scissor lift to repair lighting and perform routine maintenance at 60' heights Conducts inspections of fire protection system and HVAC system Oversees/participates in routine facility custodial work Maintains MSDS and other facility records to ensure facility remains in OSHA compliance Assists with special projects and other general office tasks as needed Requirements Ability to bend, squat, kneel, walk/stand up to 4 hours, and push/pull up to 45 pounds Attention to detail HS Diploma or Equivalent 2 years experience in a similar role Minimum of 1 year driving a forklift Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
