Setup Technician - 6th shift

Set-Up TechnicianSet-Up Technicians are responsible for the set-up and tear downs of injection molds in molding equipment, set-up of required auxiliary equipment, complete first piece inspection of production run, ensure equipment is running at prescribed cycle per work instructions, and assist, where necessary, press operators.Responsibilities include:Locate, transport, install and store injection molds in accordance with established guidelinesPrepare auxiliary and second support equipment as required at the pressMonitor presses and alarms and troubleshoot issuesFollows proper setup checks and floor operation proceduresTrouble shoot the manufacturing process to diagnose and resolve anticipated or actual manufacturing problems that may affect product qualityMaintain part quality by completing audits and documenting defective partsClean moldsUnderstand the operating characteristics and capabilities of all manufacturing machinery, equipment, and controlsDevelop and document set-up sheets as required for new tooling, major tooling changes, process changes, and special testsKeep the Engineering Department and the Master Scheduler informed about the technical status of new jobs and projectsVerify documents and logs are accurate and completed in a timely mannerReads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklistsEnters production information into the ERP system on a timely basisAccurately records and reports hours workedMaintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker roomsParticipates in the Operational Excellence ProgramUnderstands and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manualAdheres to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when requiredSupports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsCompletes all other work duties as assignedQualifications include:Ability to perform set-up for new molds and highly complex molds as directedKnowledge of plastic resins, mold setup and functions of an injection molding pressAbility to create and route reports and communicationsAbility to present information to individuals or small groupsKnowledge of basic MathAbility to operate a forklift and overhead cranesAbility to promote and maintain a safe work environmentMinimum of 3 years of experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documentsMechanical AptitudeDexterity and hand and eye coordinationAttention to detailStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasksPay Range: USD $21.20 - USD $30.72 /Hr.Company BenefitsAll Employees:Our 401k retirement savings plan with a company match contribution; onsite health clinics, discretionary holiday bonus program (based on years of service), Cretex University, 24/7 employee assistance program with access to five confidential visits with a licensed counselor at no cost, wellness program with incentives, an employee death benefit, and employee sick and safe leave are available to all Cretex employees.20+hours:Cretex's medical benefit package includes: comprehensive medical insurance with access to virtual providers; dental insurance (Little Partners Dental benefit covers services 100 percent for children 12 and younger when seen by a Health Partners in network provider); vision insurance; a pre-tax health savings account, healthcare and dependent care pre-tax reimbursement accounts; paid holidays, paid time off; and our discretionary profit sharing program are available to employees working 20+ hours/week.30+ hours:Parental Leave, accident and critical illness benefits, optional employee, spouse, and child life; short and long term disability; company provided life insurance; and tuition assistance programs are available to employees working 30+ hours per week.(Some benefits are subject to eligibility criteria.)Applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, veteran status, marital status, family status, status with regard to public assistance, or any other protected status as required by law.
