Field Service Technician

Field Service Support TechnicianMazak Corporation is looking for a Field Service Support Technician to join the Field Service team at our Southwest Technology Center located in Houston, TX. This position will have the responsibility to provide technical phone and digital support on Mazak Machines. Communicates with customers and other stakeholders and ensures exceptional service support is provided in accordance with corporate metrics and guidelines.Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employeesAnswer technical questions from customers, field service technicians, vendor/distributor techniciansProvide technical support that is commensurate with the ability of the person or persons to safely perform the recommended task or procedureEvaluate situation at customer to determine what resources if any are needed to resolve the situationEnsures customers receive a tangible response within prescribed corporate guidelinesThoroughly documents summary of all customer calls in D365 including the correct contacts and list of further actionsCompile service history reports for product improvement and customer requestsInteract with Customers and other Mazak AssociatesRead/Interpret engineering drawingsSome travel may be requiredUtilizes excellent call center/customer relationship skillsetEducation/Certification:High school diploma or equivalentSkills:Two years experience is requiredTwo-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly is preferredFour to six years' experience in the field or a related position is preferredMicrosoft Office experienceEOE, including disability/vets
