The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee tax compliance, preparation, and planning for a wide range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and nonprofits.Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support on client work and professional development.Review and manage complex tax returns and filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings, credits, and strategies to improve their financial positions.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters.Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that clients' tax strategies are aligned with the latest developments.Assist in managing client engagements from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments as needed.Support the firm's business development efforts, including identifying potential new clients and participating in marketing initiatives.Provide guidance on tax research, reporting, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with firm standards.Review and assist with internal and external audits as they relate to tax matters.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.CPA designation is required.
