The Department of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join their team at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The incumbent will engage in teaching, research, and clinical service in General Internal Medicine (GIM) and in the Gastroenterology Division, participate in the department’s teaching programs, and engage in patient care activities consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests. Administrative duties include serving on institutional committees and assisting with the Internal Medicine Residency Program and/or Clerkship Program. Minimum Qualifications MD degree Georgia Medical License Board certification Certification in Gastroenterology Preferred experience in medical student and/or resident teaching Good interpersonal skills High level of professionalism Preferred Qualifications None specified. Description of Job Duty Engage in teaching, research, and clinical service in the field of Gastroenterology Division. Participate in the department’s teaching programs, engage in patient care activities consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests, and assume administrative duties such as serving on institutional committees and assisting with the Internal Medicine Residency Program and/or the Clerkships.
