Chief Financial Officer

The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join a newly established executive team and help shape the organization’s future during a transformative period. Reporting into the CEO Council, the CFO will play a strategic role in the overall management of the organization, developing and executing finance strategy aligned with the organization’s business plan and strategic direction. The CFO will provide vision and innovative leadership with strategic, operational, and financial oversight for financial management functions, including budgeting, accounting, and reimbursement-related activities. Responsibilities include establishing and implementing accounting policies and procedures; overseeing Accounting and Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Enterprise Analytics, Revenue Cycle, and Treasury; and partnering with senior leaders on institutional planning, policy development, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or an equivalent field, with a master’s degree preferred. A CPA certification is preferred. The role also requires extensive progressive experience in accounting or finance with managerial and healthcare financial management exposure, along with supervisory experience in an accounting/financial capacity. The client seeks a results-oriented, collaborative leader with strong analytical skills, proven ability to develop financial and operational systems for accurate reporting and control, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; experience in a safety-net academic medical center with a matrix organizational structure is preferred.
