Assistant Project Manager

Please note: This is an in-office position at Griffco HQ in Kennesaw, Georgia. Take ownership alongside Project Managers in delivering commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. Help drive project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, permitting and documentation while developing the judgment needed to manage projects independently. Lead coordination of RFIs, submittals, change orders and close-out activities with accuracy, urgency and accountability. Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, trade partners and internal project teams to solve problems, support decisions and keep projects moving forward. Participate actively in estimating, design coordination and subcontractor buyout activities, contributing ideas and insight that support strong project decisions. Own project cost tracking, maintain accurate documentation and help manage monthly pay applications with a project leader’s attention to detail. Conduct regular jobsite visits to evaluate progress, quality and safety, bringing observations and solutions back to the project team. Build strong relationships, deliver exceptional client service and contribute to successful project outcomes while preparing to step into future Project Manager responsibilities. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Design/build experience is a plus but not required. Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software including Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project. A collaborative, proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow. Ability to travel periodically from Griffco Headquarters in Kennesaw, Georgia for project meetings and jobsite visits. Why Build Your Career at Griffco?
