Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a dynamic early childhood program. This contract position offers a long-term substitute opportunity, working with pre-kindergarten children in a single, welcoming building near Strongsville, OH. You’ll help nurture and guide a class of 10-15 amazing students, supporting their growth and development during an important time in their lives.
Your journey will begin on August 24, 2026, and wrap up on November 13, 2026, providing you with a meaningful way to contribute to a school community in need of your unique expertise. You’ll teach 37.5 hours per week, focusing on a tight-knit group of learners and working closely with colleagues and families to deliver exceptional, individualized instruction.
What you need to bring:
- Valid dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required)
- Experience or familiarity with Pre-K caseloads and early intervention strategies
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and problem-solving to meet varying student needs
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored instruction to pre-kindergarten students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with families and specialists
- Foster engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Support students’ social and emotional growth
- Communicate progress regularly with families and staff
