Solar Technician

Solar TechnicianSpark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Solar Technician to join our project in Pearsall, TX.The Solar Technician will maintain and service utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities. Here's what we're looking for:Ownership/accountability of your sitesKeep the sites looking clean and tidy – buildings, vegetation, fences, gates, roads, etc.Ensure spare parts inventory is organized, up to date, and able to pull from quicklyOwnership of site health and safety including signs, PPE, and documentationAble to tour around owners/guests as necessary and able to speak to any on-going issues or concernsDetailed understanding of the technical aspects:Energization/de-energization proceduresLock-out, tag out plansOperations of site-specific PLCs and controlsUnderstanding and access to latest drawingsSupport troubleshooting on all equipment and push to maximize performance/productionManagement of all preventive maintenance activitiesBi-weekly / monthly inspections to be completed by you such that you can ensure small jobs are cleaned up over time / can pick up where you left offInvolved in all major PMs i.e. inverters, combiners, helio, substation shutdownsAware of all correctives (you may not always be available to fix everything, but you should request to be brought up to speed and have access to the report)Who is Spark Power?Spark Power is the leading independent provider of end-to-end electrical services and operations and maintenance services to the industrial, utility, and renewable asset markets in North America.
