Labor & Delivery Traveler Registered Nurse

Location: Western Colorado

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shift with rotating weekends and call rotation.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Traveler Registered Nurse to join our Family Birth Place Team. The role encompasses working in L&D with OR, PACU, and postpartum units, providing couplet care for about 60 deliveries a month. The ideal candidate will care for babies starting from 32 weeks and above, focusing on evidence-based care to enhance the client experience. Candidates must be compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in the labor and delivery settings.
• Participate in evidence-based practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Coordinate couplet care in the postpartum unit ensuring both mother and baby receive appropriate care.
• Work collaboratively with a team of nursing professionals to deliver compassionate patient-centered care.
• Act as a Charge Nurse when required, demonstrating leadership and clinical expertise.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Colorado RN license or compact to practice in Colorado.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NRP and STABLE certifications required.
• Prior RN Charge experience is essential.
• Flu vaccine is mandatory, or agreement to obtain it by 10/31/25.
• Must have limited RTO and be ready to start promptly.
