Communications Specialist

Loudoun Water, a public water and wastewater utility located in Ashburn, Virginia, is seeking a versatile Communications Specialist to support essential website operations, content creation, outreach programming, and basic multimedia production. Duties will include: Maintain and update content on the public website and intranet, ensuring accuracy, clarity, usability, and ADA compliance. Manage and update online webforms, including troubleshooting, QA, and coordinating changes with internal stakeholders. Support outreach programming such as school visits and campus tours. Assist with planning, scheduling, coordination, and onsite facilitation. Produce and assist with graphics, videos, and other multimedia needs for internal and external communications. Track incoming requests, prioritize workload, and communicate timelines to internal partners. Represent Loudoun Water in public at community events, schools, and other venues Administrative to support the department as needed. Requirements: BA/BS degree in communications, marketing, or related field. Experience in customer service or related experience. High level of self-motivation and excellent critical thinking skills. Experience with deadline pressure and ability to grasp new information quickly desired. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products. Experience with Drupal CMS a plus. May require work outside of normal business hours and/or on weekends as necessary to carry out job responsibilities and duties Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
