Test samples using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment then entering findings in cloud-based database. Collaborate with entire ready-mix team using resources like digital interfaces, cloud-based databases and other tools available.Typical schedule is M-F 6am-6pm, one Saturday every 2 months.Duties and/or ResponsibilitiesPerform updates and manage digital cloud-based databases to support ready-mix teamsCommunicate effectively with all applicable groups on updates and changes made within scope of ready-mix teamsCollaboration with sales team and management by finding suitable mixes or materials for ready-mix projectsSchedule QC team daily to provide feedback digitally to ready-mix teams by collaborating with sales and dispatch teamCollaborate with supervisor to strengthen QC team and improve processesIncrease interpersonal skills with technicians by assessing and delivering information to support QC teamConduct testing of Knife River ready-mix products and materials from various locations according to ASTM standards and/or State specificationsCommunicate field data with ready-mix team digitally after getting resultsEnter and update aspects of concrete mixes in cloud-based database.Must be able to work varied hours and multitaskLimited travel potentially necessaryPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsAAS degree in civil engineering, construction management, or concrete industry management desirable, orA combination of post-secondary education and experienceValid driver's license.ACI Field Testing and Strength Testing Technician certification (currently hold or will acquire with training/certification)BenefitsMedical, Dental, & Vision InsuranceHealth Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts401(k) with Company MatchProfit SharingPaid Time OffPaid Sick Time8 Paid HolidaysCompany Paid Life and AD&D InsuranceShort-term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramYears of Service RecognitionVoluntary Life Insurance for Employees, Spouses, and DependentsCritical Illness PlanAccident Coverage PlanHospital IndemnityKnife River is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
