Program Manager, Life Sciences

Start2 Group is looking for a highly driven Program Manager with experience running accelerator programs to help execute our existing Life Sciences Accelerator program that is focused on helping medical device, diagnostics, lab tools, digital health, and biotech startups with US market discovery and access, and US commercialization strategies and plans. Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts Job Function: Full-time Start: Immediately Compensation: $90,000-$120,000 based on experience Key Responsibilities Program Execution: Execute our Life Sciences Accelerator programs and provide direct, relevant mentoring input, working directly with international life sciences and medical device startups, helping to identify the appropriate commercial, clinical, and regulatory strategies to support U.S. market entry. Accountable for program delivery and compliance as it relates to execution and reporting to government agencies and private organizations that fund our programs. Perform project management and mentor management tasks for startups in our programs, including arranging and preparing regular update meetings and calls with portfolio companies and mentors, record minutes, and follow up on action items. Establish and maintain close relationships with mentors to ensure the highest program quality. Understand and benchmark the progress of our startups as they move through the program. Collect and report metrics on the program and startups’ performance quarterly. Manage mentor and subject matter expert network at a deep level; facilitate mentor matching for deep-dive and weekly project meetings with companies in our program. Recruit new mentors and subject matter experts as programs or startups require. Ecosystem & Community Engagement: Work hand-in-hand with our International Scouting Team to assess the pipeline of startups poised for growth, their fit within the Life Sciences programs, and identify synergies with other Start2 teams and locations. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements tied to government contracts and grants, including timely submission of progress reports, metrics, and financial documentation. What You’ll Bring to the Role Experience & Competencies: BS or MS in relevant biomedical or related discipline. 3+ years in life sciences innovation and accelerator, with an emphasis on medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health. Track record of enabling de-risking and scaling of medtech and related startups, and an understanding the biotech-related CROs. Experiential understanding of medical devices and regulatory pathways including FDA, clinical validation, reimbursement, and commercialization. Experience at an accelerator, running your own startup or entrepreneurial project, or experience in an operational role in a medtech, diagnostic, or digital health startup. Experience establishing relationships within the medtech, diagnostic, or digital health innovation system. Skills & Attributes: Proactive and organized, with exceptional coordination skills, a focus on quality, and attention to detail. Comfortable with program ownership and autonomy, and working in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment with evolving priorities. Ability to build trust and communicate effectively across scientific, business, and cross-cultural contexts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; structured and analytical approach to problem-solving. Other Requirements: Ability to travel domestically, with occasional international travel. Professional working proficiency in English. Authorized to work in the United States.
