Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced 24-hour Emergency Department serving patients across the full age spectrum
• Perform core ER clinical tasks including phlebotomy, IV placement, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
• Utilize Meditech EHR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Float on a rare basis to units appropriate to skill level or in a supportive capacity as needed
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on creating a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to perform all ER clinical tasks independently; must be self-motivated and self-sufficient
• Team-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a comparable Emergency Department setting
• Demonstrated focus on patient and family experience while maintaining operational efficiency
• Prior experience with Meditech EHR
