RN Regional Operations Manager, Surgical Services

Position Summary We are actively recruiting for a Regional Operations Manager, Surgical Services to join our growing team at EyeSouth Partners. This position is located in Florida and requires travel up to 50% This position will cover Florida, Southern Georgia, Alabama, and New Orleans. The Regional Operations Manager, Surgical Services, will play a pivotal role in leading and scaling EyeSouth’s Ambulatory Surgery Center operations. This individual will oversee the performance of ASC Administrators and Nurse Managers across a regional network, ensuring clinical, operational, and financial excellence. This hands-on leadership position requires expertise in ASC operations, staff management, regulatory compliance, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of surgery center workflows, facility management, and patient experience strategies, with the ability to deploy scalable systems across multiple locations. Responsibilities: ASC Operations Oversight Directly manage ASC Facility Administrators and Nurse Managers, providing leadership, mentorship, and accountability to ensure operational performance and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement best practices to enhance clinical and administrative processes, optimize resource utilization, and achieve operational excellence. Conduct regular site visits and operational audits to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to optimize OR utilization, block scheduling, and case flow. Support ASCs with staffing plans, performance improvement initiatives, and accreditation preparation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Revenue Cycle teams to support ASC initiatives and integrations. Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. Collaborate with surgeons and practice leadership to align ASC operations with practice growth and strategic objectives. Work with Clinical Training to ensure consistent onboarding and training of surgical staff and ASC personnel. Collaborate with site administrators to enhance patient and physician satisfaction, optimize workflows, and deliver on access targets. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial health. Identify operational gaps, risks, and opportunities across the ASC portfolio and implement improvement strategies. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be in good standing with the state nursing board. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration (MSN, MHA, MBA) strongly preferred. Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in perioperative services or surgical operations, including multi-site leadership and staff management Demonstrated expertise in surgical services management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Strong working knowledge of ASC regulatory compliance , accreditation (AAAHC, CMS, ACHA, QUAD A, and state licensing regulations), and operational best practices. Demonstrated success in standardizing operations across a regional or national platform. Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing large operating budgets, forecasts and ROI evaluations Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in complex healthcare settings. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
